My dermatologist just prescribed Doxycycline 100MG for me to help clear my acne. I just started with one pill this evening and haven’t had any side effects really. A little nauseous, but that’s it. I want to know if anyone has taken this and if it has helped.

i started taking Monodox, a doxycycline pill in the tetracycline antibiotic family, for my acne 3 days ago. For anyone that has taken this before, how long does it take for noticeable changes to occur in my acne condition?

I have been diagnosed doxycycline for acne mainly on my jawline. I have been taking it for 3 days, 50 mg per day. I have noticed my acne getting slightly worse and spreading to my face a little rather than just being on my jawline. Is this normal? Does it usually get worse before it gets better? I am also about 6 weeks into the birth control pill (to clear the acne also)… should i be experiencing more acne now for awhile, or should i see my doctor??

My sister has Doryx and she said it cleared her skin right up, I’ve been on Doxycycline for 4 days and I have a couple of new pimples. But they have the same instructions and warnings.

I have been using Doxycycline 100mg for my acne for about1 month now, but it dont seem to be working well for me at all. However, I did alil research online and i find that tetracycline could help my acne, because its stroger than doxycycline, Could that be true??

I took my first dose (2 tablets) of 100mg doxycycline yesterday and in about 15 minutes after taking it I got blurred vision, dizziness and cold chills. I’m planning to contact my doctor about it tomorrow. Do you think I should take another dose today or just leave it until I call my doctor?

I have just been prescribed doxycycline for hormonal acne along my jawline on both sides of my face. I am also on the birth control pill for acne. Does anyone have experience with doxycycline – can you tell me how long it took to clear up your acne?

I’m current on doxycycline hyclate for acne for three months, but was wondering if when I go back to the doctor and stop taking this antibiotic, isn’t the bacteria going to come back again — along with my acne? If so what’s the point of taking my meds?

I currently take 500mg of doxycycline everyday (one pill at breakfast, one at dinner) to treat my acne. It's moderate acne, but not awful, but very persistent and seems to be getting worse and spreading. What would happen if say, maybe I slipped in an extra pill everyday at lunch, so it would boost me up to 750mg? Would that potentially have any harmful consequences or would it do me any good?

Im supposed to start my acne treatment tomorrow with 100mg per day of Doxycycline and Clindamycin topical solution. Im kind of afraid of the side effects. Does this treatment clear you up after a few months and then you are done with acne for life, such as with Accutane? I have had moderate to severe acne for 16 years. Im kind of desperate, but don't want to do anything life threatening.
