I have been suffering from nodular acne for a while now and not only are the nodes unsightly, but very uncomfortable. What is they best way to prevent them or deal with them? Is there anything that I can do in the node’s early stage to kill it? Please, any advice for getting rid of both nodular and post acne marks are greatly appreciated. Thank you for all of your help.
Does anyone have this???? Cuz I think I do……. really big painful red acne (i usually only get one or two at a time)…. they’re usually on my forehead or chin…..
they start off as raised red bumps that are pretty big, and HURT like heck and they usually don’t have any pus….. they take days, sometimes weeks to go away……
I have two scars from two of them…….
What do you do to get rid of these things???? I just started getting them about 7 months ago….. I’ve never had a prob with acne until 7 months ago! all through puberty I NEVER had these many probs!
I take good care of my skin, I wash my makeup brushes, wash my sheets….. wash my face, toner, lotion….. I never use anything really harsh or too oily…….
WHY would I all of a sudden get these horrible painful acne??? I ALSO have little red ones that sometimes turn whit, but they’re all over my forehead…. and I get some around the lower part of my mouth and chin….
why would I make it thru my teenage
years with NO probs and now all of a sudden I’m 24 and I have all these acne probs????????
I eat healthy and i take care of myself and all that other stuff I said above….. what on earth causes this horrible stuff????
And how do you prevent/get rid of it????
has anyone else had any success with specific methods or products????
(and I’ve already made my appt with the derm, I just want to hear other peoples first hand accounts that they’ve dealt with!
I don’t have many breakouts, but when I get a few spots, they are nodular — very hard, big, swollen and red — I’ve been using a spot treatment that has both SA and BP in it, and the spot is going down (very slowly) but it’s leaving my skin very scaly, like I’ve got a sunburn… Is it ok to scrub away that skin or will it just keep getting worse?
years old and nothing I have done helps. I have tried antibiotics, retin A, and just about everything you can buy over the counter. Pro Activ. Nothing seems to phase it. I am not eligible for Accutane cause I have a history of depression, partly because of the acne. It’s so bad that when it flares up, I won’t leave the house some days. Any advice would be appreciated.
Here are some pics….not very pretty

I do have a daily skin routine. I keep my pillowcases clean. Nothing seems to help. I have an aunt in her early 50′s that still suffers from it. I feel pretty helpless.
Has anyone on here already been through laser or light therapy treatment for inflammatory nodular acne?
Can you give me an idea of the cost in whole (without insurance)?
And if you’ve been through the treatment, give a brief description of your experience, and how much it helped.
Also, if you used antibiotics to help treat it before the therapy, let me know how that worked out. And if you used isotretinoin (Accutane), tell me a little about the side effects you personally experienced.
Thanks a ton!
I never had pimples nor acne until I started working night shifts. My dermatologist said it’s lack of sleep, stress and hormones. Does it help to know that I’m celibate since my husband works in another country (they said it improves skin and hair texture). Anyway nodular acne keeps popping out my face and it is terrible – I am embarrased seeing clients looking at my face when I have meetings!
Is there any cheaper product I can use to heal the scars? Any routine? Dermatological treatments are very expensive. I have used proactiv and almost done with my first 60-day bottles. My face did not improve at all.
oh myy. ive dealt with this for about 2 years.
ive tried over the counter cleansers and pads and all that.
then i went to my doctor and she perscribed me minocycline (oral) and retin-a(cream). NEITHER WORKED!
so i got a referral for a dermatologist,
he put me on accutane and have now been on it for a few months.
i dont see a difference. what do i do now? accutane is suppossed to be the best thing they have for acne….
i work out at LEAST 3 times every week and take vitamins daily(one a day womens and 1000 IUs of E). my diet is healthy as well.
So…I have horrible acne. My type of acne is "severe nodular acne". I’m on the prescription drug Accutane. I have acne on my arms, shoulders, and back. I have a dance coming up and I wanna look good. So any idea on how to cover up the acne on my back, arms, shoulders, and face without clogging pores and irritating my skin?
